Windowless Airliner

A blogish post.
http://www.halfbakery.com/idea/Windowless_20airliner

I liked the comment about the glass plane..
I think that watching the plane taking off would be great fun! I remember that my brotehr and I commented on this when we flew on a 747 a few years ago.

Dreams, Basketball and Dolls

I dreamed that I was on a basketball team. The first day of practice. I tried to do a standing layup shot.. and missed. So I tried and tried again and again and still missed. I was perplexed and puzzled. It was the easiest shot on the whole court and I used to be able to hit them with 100% accuracy. I think that Shannon was my rebounder and she didn't say anything, just chased after the balls. I shot and missed again. Grr. The coach moved me to a flatter angle, tryingto make it easier I suppose, but I know that that shot only makes it harder.. o.O

The next part of my dream I was a some short of large store. I was looking at an aisle of toys and trying to pick up Christmas presents for everybody. My family was wandering around the store too. I was looking at some colorful wind chimes and trying to pick out something nice for my cousins and Grandma. I'ma bit of a perfectionist so although I had several possibilities in my arms already, I was still searching for the perfect gifts. I thought about making cupcakes and placing 6 inch christmas trees on top made of icing, and how I could possibly mail them without the icing smushing, falling off or turning into mush. My mom came by and said everyone wanted to leave and that I had spent enough time there. I walked over to the checkout line (odd because it didn't lead out of the store, it was horizontal. And I payed for my purchases but was annoyed to realize that I had lost a wad of money, like maybe $22. I still had enough money so I paid and we exited the store.

We got into a large truck thingy, filled with more belongings needed on a trip. We were going to a Disney World type place on the North East. We were going to stay at someone's hotel house. We stopped at the house and unloaded some things, then went to the church to find some people. Kelly was there and some other kids. I walked into a room that had the same dimensions as the nursery. Kelly was too busy playing some Neopets game and doing an essay in the computer to come with me to our new cool place. My twin-sized mattress was on its side in the corner with some Victorian patterend sheets half on it. I looked under a sink in the middle of the room, finding some Wendy's that I had left there. Someone said "Ew." I had to aggree.. the ice in the soda had melted. There was something about dolls that I can't remember.

Somehow I found myself back at the store. I was looking for my money, someone had moved the asile I had been down back, showing the grate and that below the floor was another level. Someone commented that people had been loosing money in this store for years. Someone else was moaning about their lost money. I searched through the grate and found some money, which I snatched up. I could see that it had a $10 so it really wasn't mine so I wandered down the aisle some more. A woman hovered around me, a man found a dollar and I ignored him.. I spotted another fold of cash and I snatched that up like lightening too. The woman tried to get it too, but was too slow and whined she I got it first. I could tell that it was a large amount, but I had not found my lost wad of money yet so I kept searching.

I finally gave up my search, thinking that I had found much more than I had lost and approached the cashier. Maybe I was buy a little doll or something. I felt that I was on some sort of game show and i unfolded my wads of money, I did not know how much I had. The fist was 20 something, the next wad had a 100 dollar bill. Everyone gasped in excitement. I paid for the doll and put the money away. As we walked past some display aisles of large toys I thought about buying my brother one of those large wooden car sets.. the ones with the mini cars or train pieces on tracks and bridges. Or buying some Barbie dolls for future kids, the faces always change to match the times.. I then thought about some k'nex or lego pieces, but decided not to buy anything today. As I was waking up, I thought that I should put it in the bank.

Did I ever write that dream about a giant slide and Disney character dressed people? How I was stuck on a slide hiding while other people/kids went down it (including mermaids) and didn't want to go down this 50 ft thing, but fell down it by accident? it was the one with everyone beaming to a place in an empty amusement park... something about a locker room and a nice dining area.. I must have felt as if I was undercover or one of the few people who knew what was really going on, because I remember being on some team and talking through headgear... and trying to avoid some adults.

What about that one about the dark house and mirrors? And the big bathroom? and how the rooms changed around.

Dreams of Unicycles

Dreams

I was at some sort of school and there was an afternoon function going on.. perhaps a fair. I remember some balloons outside, and as I walked through a crowd in the front, Jessica (the one from HS XC) approached me and told me that they were giving away free unicycles, and that I had to get one. She then mentioned something about Sarah being around and we said goodbye. I really wanted a free unicycle. I came across them and there were only two color: a pastel lime yellow and a bright pink. I think that I picked out a bright yellow one. I think that I placed it somewhere.. perhaps left it against a tree or something. Then I think that I talked to Heather.. about Spongebob or Squidworth or something?
She was her usual uningaging self. o.O (jk) I then wandered inside the building and into a crowded classroom.

They were having some sort of lesson, that I had walked into the middle of and I couldn't leave. I really didn't want to join in but they made me take a piece of paper and a pen/pencil and write something down. Finally, it ended and everyone was about to leave. I think that I opened the door to the next classroom, looking for my brother. He was in there and I asked him if he had gotten a unicycle too. He hadn't, so I wanted to show him my unicycle. I went out to get it but it wasn't where I had left it. I decided to get another one, but just then a Principal walked by in a crowd and I overheard him saying that they hadn't managed to buy enough unicycles and that they had run out of yellow ones. I was sad.

I decided not to take a second cycle because they didn't have enough for everyone. I then looked into my (nonexistant o.O) purse and found my yellow unicycle! Yay! It had been shrunken. o.O James walked by and I told him to go get a pink one. I think he managed to get one, and then I traded unicycles with him. We then unicycled home, down a hill.

The next part I remember is something about Coach Russel. I think that I gave him a pair of sandals for the Forth of July or for a birthday present in the summer or something. o.O Somehow.. the team got into different cars and drove away.. some went into a carwash/auto mechanic place. I think that I helped Russell clean his car out.. only I overdid it and found 6 pairs of shoes. I think that I annoyed him with that because he had no place to put them all.

Then I wandered away.. I sat down somewhere and was given a pile of newspaper wrapped stuff. This part is a little freaky. I unwrapped to inspect things no bigger than a rectangular tissue box. Wooden figurines and dolls.. but some were mumified miniture people. Ew. I was rather unsettled the first time I unwrapped a mumified person. Not fun, but it was my job so I continued. Then some native tribal people (once again no bigger than a rectangle shoebox) approached me and asked if I was going to finish soon. You see, they wanted them for their parade. I thought that it was rather odd to want to have mumified humans in a parade for children, but respected their culture and told them that I would finish soon.

That's all I really remember.

Hmm.. :)

My mom just mentioned that my uncles and grandfather had gotten degrees from Ivy League Universities.

What a way to unintentionally make someone feel less adequate. lol

Oh well. I'd just settle for whatever so I can make money to learn forever. Take a million classes...
Hmmm.. :)

Oh Captian, my Captain

Song of Goodness: Moby - Flower

I was thinking about this the other day. If I ever were a Captain I'm sure that I would quite overdo it. I'd make up fun workouts, like a scavenger run. I'd bring popsicles to practice on the hottest days, and every Monday have a team night where everyone did mandatory stretching and shin exercises and I feed then whole wheat pasta for dinner and spelt rolls. Dinner would be followed by a team moral boosting time (team chats about non-sports stuff and fun quotes) followed by Colloidal Silver and iron supplements. My room/apartment would have a wall with spots for everyone to make and tape up their faces to feel as if they quite belonged there. And team "gifts" they gave each other wouldn't cost anything except for the last one. No one really has any money and gift giving every week could stress some people out.

And the second anyone thought that they were getting sick, I'd pour liquid echinacea goldenseal down their throats three times a day. (You're really supposed to take it every three hours but not even I can stand the stuff that much!)

I'm such a minder.

Or am I just overzealous or manic?

Have you ever placed a piece of bread in your mouth, only to realize that it tastes funny, and then turn over the bag the bread came from to see a big patch of green mold on the bottom?

And then you try to spit the mouldy bread out..

No?

Well, it happened to me this morning. Yuk yuk yuk...

Random

Song of Goodess: Strauss - Emperor's Waltz

Ah, I've been neglecting my blog lately, but only because I've been writing a little.

I also visited JK Rowling's new website. Very nice. :) I only managed to get 3 things for my scrapbook though. Thanks to WishWeaver's FF Yahoo Group for all the hints.

James came in here today.. and said that Mom said something weird... apparently she think that my music tastes have changed. O.o As if now I am listening to better music. Um? I don't think so.. I've always liked classical music a little.. just because I can hear it better now and love listening to is more doesn't mean that I have completely turned off Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Kenna or anything Spanish. o.O

And here I will input my fab new quote: "I have sen the future of music, and it is called shuffle." It's from a New Yorker fact or something.. I can't find it now but it's in a post for this month..

James said that she now thinks that if she gives me a makeover that I will go out and do things. To which I could only respond by saying: Ahahaa...

Give me a car and I'll go out and do things...

Actually... if I could ever get over this internet addiction, fanfiction addiction and music addiction I would go out and meet people.. but then I'd have so much fun I'd probably never come home...

Why do parents always think that they can change their (older) children?

Dreams and fairy tale dresses...

Song of Goodness: Bach - Piano Concerto No. 5

Dreams

I was with these 2 girls... they were living together and i was trying to convince the younger one to leave the other. When the other left for somewhere, she finally sayd yes. We stuffed backpacks full of stuff.. I remember trying to stuff a few rubber bands into the tiny side pockets of a backpack. We foud overselves at some sort of trainstation/subway. The station was a bove ground but the train was in a tunnel. The other girl was there with someone else... somehow we walked quickly away and she left us go. We got on the train.. it was silver and very narrow inside, the seats all ran along one wall and faces the other wall. The seats were all in rows or 3 or 4.. so I tried to look for an empty one.. I couldn't spot any in the distance so I asked someone sitting in the one on our left if he would move over a seat (it was a three seater) and he said sure, and we huddled together..

We ended up at my house. Somehow my guest became two guests. I remember showing them in the house, my family were all downstairs making dinner or something so I walked him through this small kitchen, and up a few steps to another landing, whish was also part of a kitchen. I then pointed out how many kitchen appliances we had.. 4 fridges and all this stuff. All the landings and kitchen were very crowded with belongs. A few more landing, it felt like a very long staircase that went on forever. I showed them into one empty room, and then another with paintings on the walls. The wall next to the door curved into the floor.. I said that it was to be my mom's and bro's music and art room.

Then up some more stairs and we reached a top landing. We turned left and at the end of the hall was a poster with that had that fake mirror background, and a gold crown on the left top so if you looked at you "reflection" it would have a crown on top. On the right wall was James' room and on the left was mine. We entered mine, it had white walls and a light carpet and wasn't too crowded. I remember a bookcase before I walked to the end to the door on the left, It opened to a balcony. I opened it and walked outside, everyone following.

It was a wonderful balcony.

At first it just had some linens hanging up to my right, but as I moved past them, the balcony grew. The grey concrete floor went on forever and there was a roof that began, held up by pillars... and racks with tons and tons of ball gowns of every color! Wheee! I understood that I had the largest collection of dresses in the world. I ran past some and turned left into a particular rack and sorted through them searching for the perfect gown for a ball. I told theothers that they could find some too. I flipped through some and finally settled on a wonderful pretty yellow one. I then turned around and understood that this friend was going to be my partner.. I think it was Mark. But then then the other girls wanted him to be their partner so I had to think fast to find two other guys.. perhaps my brother... hmmm...

I remeber picturing how it would be later.. with the music and candles... everyone dancing, one of the girls had changed to that loud obnoxious sister of - was it Jane? from that PBS mini series Sense and Sensibility I think..

Then somehow I ended up at the supermarket with the guys... I think I had been chibified and was sitting in the main part of the cart. They were buying something special and I said I wanted lemons... but the old guardian guy that were with wouldn't buy them for me so I pouted. Luckily, as they went to the checkout line, the person who I was supposed to be really shopping with rescued me and got me what I needed.

I love the dreams of being a spoiled princess a lot.. I think most girls do. :)

Did I mention that they guys at the ball were wearing matching full costumes outfits and that they looked completely comfortable in them? They were incredibly polite and curteous too. They must have been imaginary princes. Haha real guys aren't like that! :P

acid and a base combinded makes...

I was talking to someone today... I should rename my blog Diaries of a Suburbian Snot

Haha.. I must be addicted to salt. I love things with salt.. pickles, plain popcorn with salt, plain noodles with salt, cheese, rice with salt.. the other day when James was eating pistashios I said that I liked the pistashios but that I used to suck on the shells to get..

the salt. o.O

Ah, and yes we use Sea salt in my home..

You know, I always thought that a metal and a non-metal made salt. Elements on different sides on the periodic table.. Something with Nl+? Earlier, my brother said that it was an acid and a base and I'm disinclined to look it up right now.

Van Helsing

Song of Goodness: Back - Prelude in C Minor

James and I walked over to the movie theatre today and saw Van Helsing. :) I rather liked it. I thought that the way all the characters kept getting thrown on to things very far away and acting as if they were still okay was a little far fetched. The girl, Anna, must have been tossed around so often that she had internal bleeding. o.O That's the only conclusion i can come up with for her death. Yes, the werewolf did attack her at the end, but there was no blood from her to show that she had been injured, and the werewolf howling in pain when he realized that she had died.. yes you may think that it was VH who had started to regain his mind after attacking her as an animal but I don't think that he would have been able to regain his mind until the antidote had started, and physically started to change.

Therefore I had the theory.. that Count Dracula, as it was stated was the son of one of her ancestors.. what if he actually was her great great great great (ect) father before he turned into a vampire and because he died, she as "something sired from him no matter how distant) died too? Just didn't die as quickly as those newly revived babies because she wasn't a newborn and had more strength before dying.. hmm..

and then you may say, well if he actually was related to her in someway from that long ago, then there must have been thousands of other people in the world who were related, and would have died at the same time. Ah, but then they would have been part of Anna's family and it wouldn't have mattered if Anna and her brother died... therefore there weren't. :P

Ah and VH looked so good in black on his horse. Reminded me of Vampire Hunter D.

But Anna's boots.. no way would anyone have tried to run, let alone hunt werewolves and vampires in something like that. It's a nice accessory for a female action character to waer once in awhile as a novelty (ect Catwoman) but it's used so often that it's lost that plasuability.

I really liked the Halloween ball. Looked like fun! Hmm.. too bad there aren't anything that that around anymore.. is there? Disneyworld should make a ball like it.

Molly Convos

So I told Molly that she was in my dream and looked like a cool College aged Hermione and wouldn't talk to me. o.O

She then told me she looked nothing like Hermione and said to stalk her next time cause she shouldn't have tried to ignore me in the dream. Hahaa.. I told her I would.

flowers at girls camp..

Band of Goodnes: The Pixies

Dreams - just notes of them... gah.

Harry and Sirius and Remus, who else also? walk into a big empty gymnasium
metal chains hang from the ceiling
they hang on them as the chains carry tem up to the ceiling, straigning muscles in a feat of daring high above the ground

Bathroom- getting changed as the others take there turn on the weird suspended chain ride.. o.O

... then...

somehow in girl's camp
I was on my bed looking at my mini fridge, the door of the white fridge disappeared and I collected my huge stash of candy to tak eon this sleeping bag sleep away thing.. like I looked at my bed and thought how I didn't own a sleeping bag but figured that they would have them there.

I walked out and there were girls everywhere
some of those claw game thingies ha dtheir contents removed and flowes placed inside them instead

the girl's mothers were coming to pick them up and everyone wanted to buy flowers ffor their mums.

Somehow I ended up in a dusty dim attic classroom where my uncle taught. the desks were those middle school ones with the seperate chairs and placed in groups of four.
I sat next to a girl who introduced herself as Molly Morr. I was happy, and the boy across form her seemed to know her. I wrote a short story about how, when I was around 2 years old I had enetered this same classroom of my uncle and fainted. I then wrote another one. I was surprised when somehow my uncle read it (digital communication?) and told the class of how his neice fainted when she was 4, I didn't know if he knew who I was at first but it seemed like later he did, even if he pretended that he didn't. I tried to get Molly's aim screenname but she didn't give it to me, but the boy across from her gave me his so I was hapy that I would have a chance to talk to molly again is I could weedle her name from him.

Then somehow I ended up at a church.

We were cleaning things.

There was a class room for children.. we started to erase the board.. I accidenly erased the right half of some sort of calender.... I trie dto erase the stuff below the chalk decorated line and bear stickers but only the chalk came off.. there were more stickers below them all over the chalkboard that didn't come off.

We ended up in anotehr room that had an old woman bedridden in it. We started to clean up her room. I knelt on the bed and look at the space below it, next to the wall. There was a grate with things stuck underneath it. I found a little plastic pink bunny (like that white one for Mike) and was happy.

lovely morning, lovely day

Songs of Goodness: J. S. Bach - From the Magnificat in D major (BWV 243) IV Quia fecit mihi magna (bass solo) and VI Fecit potentiam (Chorus)
I have the Choir King's Choir, Cambridge version. So lovely.. I love the cello and harpsicord in Quia fecit mihi magna and I woke up to that part in my head. :)

Lovely day. I had such a wonderful sleep and I woke up so nicely with the sun. I love these spring mornings... cool wet mornings with birds singing that turn into such lovely warm/hot days, but not so hot that you are completely miserable just sitting around.

Ah, but what I like to call my "closet", which is just an unventilated storage room with white cupboards on one wall and a cubboard/desk on the other (where I put my computer, and opened the bottom doors for a place to put my feet!) that houses a microwave and utility sink that no one uses, and the washer and dryer (used regularly) gets quite hot. 7 am and I'm already sweating in my shorts. yuk! ^_^;; Ah well, it's always nice to move into the other cooler room in front of the opened door to the balcony and feel the cool, wet air from outside ( placed a fan in front of it but the blown air doesn't seem to reach me in the closet). :) Wow rereading that it seems like 2 run-on sentences but alas I do not care. :P Ah!! Another wonderful lovely song from The Magnificat just came on! I just note it: VII Esurientes implevit bonis (a contralto solo).

Well back to "my closet" I call it such because it's the place where I, out of the whole family, spend the most time, and it kinda reminds me of how Harry had a "cupboard". I could probably fit my double bed (spoiled!) in and sleep in here but then it would be rather difficult to open all the cupboards and get cans out and wash laundry and such.

What a lovely day. :) I plan to go running and work out and perhaps walk to the movie theater. Hmm.. it's some miles away. Grrr.. I hate how I have to slowly acclimate my feet to the shape of my new orthodics. I can't overdo it or I will be seriously hurting. I've already learned the lesson of overdoing it several times. No need to repeat it yet again. ;P So I suppose my first run in my new orthodics shouldn't be an hour long, floowed by an 8 mile walk... ;)

So last week my mother and brother decided to make Ezekial bread. They went to Whole Foods and bought like 6 different types of grain, ground it in a machine at home, and baked some lovely Ezekial bread. In the Old Testament, Ezekial fasted for 40 days and ate nothing but a close approximation of this bread. I've been eating it sloowwwly. To a person with a commercial palatte, they would probably find it to be bland, but after years of eating whole wheat and spelt and various other grain and bean bread, I think it's ok. I just had a slice for breakfast and I'm contemplating having another.

Ah, Bach is so fun to sing along to. Especially the recordings that use Boys' choirs to sing the Soprano and Alto parts. I love their sound! And as a mezosoprano who has yet to train out of her childish sounding voice, I can atest that they are very fun to sing along to. :) It does sound rather horrible when you don't warm up trying to hit all those super high notes :} but it does sound better with time. Now if only I knew the words... hehe..

I end this blog post with this statement:

Bach ROCKS!

...inarticulate jumble of pronouns and a name.

Song of Goodness: The Pillows - Sick Vibration

From Chapter 5 of Dark Chocolate by Dianann
Scene: Harry is to meet Snape at Diagon Ally to buy his new apprentice equipment.

"Professor Snape. I'm sorry. I didn't..Dumbledore. And...we talked. Kept me. He did. I'm sorry," Harry babbled, forgetting all about Gryffindor nobility and courage in light of the daggers Snape was shooting him with that piercing gaze.

"Mr. Potter," Snape said silkily, turning on his heel and beginning to stalk down the long cobbled street. Harry had no choice but to walk quickly after him, scurrying amongst the crowd to keep up with the man. "I do not care for your explanations or your excuses. You are eleven minutes late. Do you realize, that if I arrived five minutes early, which I did, in hopes that perhaps in that small, insignificant brain of yours, you would be here at a decent time, that eleven minutes of waiting time actually became sixteen minutes? I have been waiting for you for a quarter of an hour, and all the excuse you have given me is an inarticulate jumble of pronouns and a name."

I really like Snape's line here. *smirk* Ah but it's a "Snarry" fic I think! *gasp shudder shiver eek yum?* >:)

Augh why? Why why why? Grrr...

Yaoi... I blame all the HP slash fanfiction writers who snuck gentle yaoi into their stories and slowly wore away my already very accepting views. It's like blurred lines and gets so annoying sometimes at the different levels, from straight platonic to slash. Sometimes you can't even tell. And once you like it, it seems that you can never stay away or avoid it! It keeps popping up so innocently! It's so freaking annoying cause one moment you insanely love it, and the next like your stomach is slightly queasy.. like cramps. Grr.. help.. lol. Freak, I just need to stay away from it altogether.. I dunno, I just find it really annoying that I like it. o.O Maybe I just really like guys a lot. :} Or perhaps it's the whole yaoi tradition of having "...a clear seme/uke with the uke guy really resembling a female. It's more like reading a heterosexual relationship transferred into a homosexual one." Yukipon calls this "Japanese yaoi girls' mindset". So it's like a heterosexual relationship, with just more pretty guys to goggle, and no female characters to distract? Millions of fans can't be wrong? Perhaps Yaoi fangirls just like gay guys better but will never be able to have one so in Yaoi they cast themselves as the uke(bottom) guy? ^_^;;

What a controversial subject. And why do (a more majority of) slash writers seem to write more beautifully and "in character"? *Pounds head on keyboard* I hope that I do not regret writing this post in the future.

Song of Goodness: Bach - Cantana 208 "Sheep May Safely Graze"

Dreams

First I was in some sort of Van with some people.. I was cleaning up and organizing some stuff.. like placing all the stuffed animals into a bag and folding up lots of blankets. I think I was a kid. We stopped at a hotel or something, and either James and I wanted to stay and sleep in the van, or we had to. Anyway, we knew that we weren't going to go buy dinner, so while I was cleaning up some toys, I noticed a pink Barbie Kitchen set, like maybe a fridge and some pantries and stuff. So I opened one of the little drawers in the Barbie fridge and found some little tester cheese packs. Sort of like the kind you get from Hickory farms, only smaller. I pulled them out and felt them and they were still cold. I said, "I totally forgot that I had put these here." I think that they had been sitting in that little mini fridge for months. LOL, James and I cast dubious glances at each other and then shrugged so I was like, "Yay! Let's eat them!" James and I then searched the other little drawers and found a mini pizza, some ham, and other little things. We placed the little pizza in the (working!) Barbie oven and cooked it.

The next part of my dream took place in a house. A house where my family lived (that I had never seen before this dream) and for some reason, some design decorator (like the kind on TV) was over. I think that James and I were switching rooms, because my bed was in his room, and his bed was in either my room or the hallway. There was a big white sheet covering my bed to protect it and the dressers in the room were James'. They were all painted a dark-medium blue, only spots of the paint had worn away, leaving the wood underneath. I think that James had a friend over. So anyway, we were all in the room, and the decorator guy was sitting on my sheet covered bed indian style with some plans and he turned into a missionary. I was like, "You do know that this is my bed and not James', right? My bed has a pretty design for the head and foot boards, like a rising sun." and then I uncovered the foot board with the sheet and showed him it because I felt that the designer should know that my stuff was pretty.

So anyway, the next thing that happened, was that the missionary somehow ended up on one of the computers and he wante dto get the lyrics to a song or something. So I, wanting to be helpful and knowing that that computer didn't connect to the internet ran into the next room and tried to get a mp3 and lyrics off of the other computer really fast. I think that he wanted the a song from "Joseph and the Multicolored Dream Coat" and I was looking for a song from "The Prince of Egypt" becuase when I ran back into the other room with a CD it was the wrong one. And then I kept running back and forth with the wrong stuff. I think he finally found what he was looking for later.

Then I was in some sort of Gymnasium watching a Highschool Volleyball game or something. my team packed up to leave, and we piled into a Van. Our coach (the young blond one) was taking forever to get to the van and we were waiting on an Urban road (we may or may not have been stopping traffic) so either Arianne or Amber moved into the driver's seat to 'just move us up a bit'. I was a little apprehensive when they kept 'moving us up' and moved onto the road because they were 16 and you had to have a special license to drive a big van, but I figured that we were safe so I laid back on my seat and pretended to sleep. The driver turned right onto a country road and drove up it. Next to me, Nat C. (a girl from church who is totally unrelated to the girls from the VB team) was talking about whether I would get mad at them for driving when we were not supposed to and if the coach would care. I then stopped pretending to sleep, which shocked Nat and everyone else because they thought I was sleeping and then explained exactly why I wasn't doing anything even though we were breaking so many traffic laws. Nat laughed and we turned right and pulled up to a grassy area with a lake where our VB coach was walking bac. Needless to say, she was quite surprised that we had come to pick her up but since she was still young she laughed off our rule breaking and asked the girl who was driving to move over.

The next part of my dream involved a very dirty lake and a man scubba diving. The lake with brown and had some liter on the bottom. There was a group of people around the lake who had gotten a professional scubadiver to swim to the bottom and get as much trash as he could in the next 30 minutes. He only had 30 minuted because he was to get married that day and everyone was expected at the church soon. He was wearing everything: a scubbadiving suit, flippers, face mask, maybe even gloes and we swam out to the middle of the brown lake and dove. I think that it took him a very long time to swim to the bottom of the lake, and when he got there, he grabbed as many empty plastic gallon milk cartons as he could and other liter in his arms and came up for air. When he got to the edge of the lake, the man overseeing the production helped him unsuit and told him that they didn't have enough time for another dive. Everyone packe dup their stuff and got into their vehicles to drive to the church. The scubba man didn't have time to take a shower before the wedding, but fortunatly his scubba suit protected most of him from the muddy water and he didn't really need one.

I'm having trouble remembering the last part of the dream... I was with some sort of team.. maybe like from the show Angel or some Star Trek game or something and I was given the option to stay with the team, or transfer to some diplomatic corps on a space station. I was watching a viewscreen to see the main people on the Diplomatic corps but I was starting to make up so the people walking on teh screen were supposed to all look different and really cool but they all came out rather boring looking, all looked alike with blue shiny metallic outfits on. And then I woke up.

six for a dollar

Song of Gooness: The Pillows - Paper Triangle

Looking at a can of chicken broth, and noticing that it was sold for $.74, I fondly remember when you used to be able to buy those Ramen noodles for like.. 12 for a dollar or something at Shopright. Ah, James just said that they were 16 and 3/4 cents each and that it was odd that he remembered it.

Ah, And Blogger just got a overhaul! Very cool guys! But the mauve is a little blahyuk.

I have so much to write about, but I feel so... awake and alive right now that I don't feel like documenting it all. Oh well, I'll just write out some notes for later:

A run down of Sunday morning's events
Harry Potter notes on first movie, new movie, and random post theories from groups.
Orthodics YAY!
Time article on brain development.
Is my brain wired for Bach?
Updates on music page.
Something I noticed about myself... unable to stand ppl who are unable to look at the muti-sides of an event/issue blah by themselves.. forming an opinion without seeing and thinking about all possibilities. Interesting.
A thought on how annoying it is to wait for something to load during the era of digital "all connected in a nano second" communication. *kicks NetZero "SLOW" speed dialup*

Yipee!

Song of Goodness: Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night

Harry Potter special on at 7 pm. I wish our tape recording thingy was set up. I hope I will be able to stay awake for it. I am very tired..

I will tell you about my day later.

I was chatting to five different people today in the same hour! While this used to be a common occurance, it hasn't happened in awhile. Wow.

getting fat on pickles

Song of Goodness: Nirvana - Come As You Are

Haha, I was thinking this morning that I should rename my blog Getting Fat on Pickles. Interesting name, no?

Ah, I really love the Salsa Fresco from Whole Foods Market. Sooo goood when it's fresh but not quite as good one week old... but then again, the only thing better when aged is cheese.

I'm tired. This is ridiculus. Why am I tired? Ah, I can't decide if I should go to bed now or try to stay up. I really should go walking for a few miles today to break in my orthodics... maybe walk to the movies? Nah... nothing I'm dying to see, and it's Saturday *checks computer clock* Yeah it is Saturday which means all the kids are out of school and movies are only fun when you have the whole theatre to yourself. :( Plus, I'd have to see something in the morning cause I refuse to pay more $ than I have to to see some movie that I'm not dying to see (Harry Potter!). *rubs eyes* I think I'll stay on for awhile to see if Molly is coming on this morning...

...so tired...

I was thinking about this yesterday, some people you just connect really well with and it's all fabulous! You have a great time every time you see them or talk to them and you laugh all the time. Other people, well it doesn't work out as well. I dunno. Sometimes it feels like a chore to talk to some people.. like when you only IM each other every 30 min to make sure they are still on or if you just aren't captivated by them when you chat. I feel like Molly and I really connect, it's so cool! It's like we have the best time every time.. it was the best time the first time! We must have similar brainwaves! Jess-chan and I do that soemtimes too.. sometimes with Kelly but she's is *never* on to talk! Grr! I know that she's probably freaking out with graduating from High school and college aps and all this stupid school stuff and playing piano for plays and stuff... ah so stressful! Well I need to find more people like Molly. Sadly, I haven't met many people that are as great as her to talk too... eh but I'm always willing to try!

It's so sad that I talk to more people online than I do in RL. Seriously. Who in RL do I talk to on a daily basis? My brother, my mom, and my stepdad. Hmmm... and even then it isn't more than "Are you going to have dinner?" "Do you want to use the computer?". Only James really spends time with me... he's a comfortable person.. like you wouldn't mind just sitting with him and doing whatever, even if you don't really interact. I need more people like that... you know, there really aren't that many people I know like that.. hmmm...

hello, starlight

Songs of Goodness: I'm in a "The pillows" kind of mood today sooo.... either 'Moon is Mine' or 'Our Love and Peace'.. maybe even 'Instant music' or 'Little Busters'. I can never decide!! They are all so good!

Before I went to bed this morning I read my e-mail... 25 messages... I think I only got through a few...

When I woke up this night my inbox had 53 messages... I hope that they aren't just all opinions on Dumbledore treatment/mistake of Harry. Hmmm

Just now James said, "I feel bad for the miso soup I fed you a few days ago."
"Hmm? Why? It was o.k."
"Because, it tasted strange. I had to use Mexican-style potatoes and whole wheat angelhair pasta and a whole bunch of weird things in it cause I was hungry and there wasn't anything else."
"O.o oh. No wonder it tasted so weird."
*a snortkle*
"James, you're so odd."
"Look who's talking. You're the one that eats pickle juice!"
o.O touche.

Dreams

First I was in a long kitchen, thinking about making breakfast. My BestF Kelly was supposed to come over and lots of other people too and I wanted to make some great food. I had a whole bunch of little zip lock bags with everyone's names on them.. I was thinking of how my brother was a Vegan and how it would be difficult to make such a wide range of breakfast foods... I looked at Partil Parvatti's bag (She's an Indian Harry Potter character and I have no idea why she was coming over in my dream) and thought how if I made her whole wheat toast it would be okay since I didn't know if she act like a Vegan too...

So I was stuffing mini-bacon in the bags and Kelly came over with a friend. She was wearing a pink feather boa and they were both carrying shopping bags. She was happy to see me and pulled me through the doorway into her room (which she brought along). She said "Hey Chica! Ouu guess what!?!! We just went to this totally great store and oh- I managed to get 20 awesome books for two dollars!! Isn't that so cool?" I was quite impressed at her smart purchase, but wondered if she got any books other than the first few that she would have bought otherwise. Then for some reason I was looking at a row of blond Barbie dolls and thought of how I would design pastel Princess gowns for them.

The dream changed and I was sitting in a room with the church girls I shared one of those.. half-open cabins with the last year of Girl's camp: Valorie, Ariane and Natalie. We were taking some sort of test and we turned in our answers. I was put into a group with Nat and Val and we were shoved into some kind of box room. Ariane was put into another group. The room was dark and had no windows.. the ceiling was movable and there was a display panel next to the sliding doors that we entered by. We were confused at first at why we had been shoved in the room but we soon figured out why. It was some sort of training room. I can't really remember what happened.. maybe an increase in gravity or pressure.. temperature.. perhaps even a warrior that looked like the kind of 'Celestrial Evil' warrior from Kung Fu: TLC (in case you never watched that ep, it was an awkward moving Oriental-styled black Darth Vader armor). Somehow we made it out alive...

..only to be shoved back in. This time there were mini columns, slightly taller than me, holding the ceiling up. The ceiling was gridded and there were too many columns standing upright for us to be able to move around easily. I started to topple some of the columns and the program started... the ceiling started to lower itself. The columns that were still up held their part of the ceiling up. We were slightly alarmed since we didn't know what to do. We crouched down to the floor...

I think that we started to swim or something because my dream then changed to a part of the ocean. I was watching a woman and the people I was with get captured. I didn't really have any form as so couldn't reall interact with anything. The people were getting trapped into wooden/metal crates in the ocean and brought onto the deck of a lrage ship. I concentrated on the woman.. I think she was about 50 years old. She managed to get away and jumped off the boat into the ocean. A man on the ship top, wearing the typical 80's spy outfit of beige long coat, sunglasses and hat yelled out to her that she'd 'never get away'. That he would go after her and find her. "Do you really think that you can swim faster than Me?" He jumped into the water after the woman. The womand was swimming as fast as she could toward the shore. I decided to put a spell on her to make her movements silent and to help her move faster. From a bird's eye view I moved my computer mouse and highlighted the areas in the ocean, trying to locate the man who was chasing her.

She finally made it to the shore and was very relieved. She had a chance now. She tried to blend in with the people there. The man reached the shore. I moved my mouse around and highlighted anyone that resembled the man with the beige/brown coat, hat and briefcase. It was like an active 2D 'Where's Waldo?' computer game. I kept highlighting duds while looking for the real thing.

I suppose that she was safe, because my dream changed again. I was sitting on the beach with a small crowd of people, looking out at the ocean. The woman was with me to the left and next to her was a nice young ethusiastic man lecturing everyone about the lifeforms and ecosystems on the beach. I felt as if the woman had been there for years, just looking after the ecosystem. It was as if she knew me, and I was checking up on her. At the same time, I felt as if I were a student to her. She wore a light dress a floppy hat, had a nice tan and was covered in sand. She held up a collection of long grass strands and explained that she was going to use them to grow snail turtles. She told me to try to collect some grass too so that I could grow some as well. I scurried around, pulling up clumps of grass. They didn't look as nice or the right kind as her's but she smiled kindly and said that it was ok. The man said 'good-job' and he seemed as if he were a long-time colleague of her's. We wandered along the beach, pushing the grass into the sand as if replanting it.

Later, we went to a sort of mini zoo. Circular, there were only three section filled, with all reptile-like creatures. One was a super flat and soft looking Crocodile. The next one was the Snail Turtle. It's shell was flipped open, as it it had been on a hinge. Inside was a white rectangle thing. It was constructed the way carboard boxes that hold glass bottles have the crisscrossing thin cardboard sheets in the middle, creating long thin squares of space. A miniture naked turtle was climbing over the top, taking care of whatever was in the spots. Mussell and snail-like shells, stuck at odd angles, almost coated the sides, top and surrounding area of the inside of the shell, which was now open to our view. It was quite strange... in a disgusting curious way...

.. to say to that?

What my mom says, with an overly loud voice, laughing and bragging to an acquaintance: "They practically raised themselves. I didn't have to anything."

Later in the car, "You just decided what kind of person you wanted to be and became it."

What my Dad says, late at night, just the two of us, the fan whirling in the background: "Sometimes I wish I had taken you away and had Lori raised you." Meeting my solemn gaze he echoes my thoughts, "But then you wouldn't have been the same person." And I envy those children who don't have to listen to their father speak of heart-ache and loss when they are twelve years old. Thirteen, Fourteen.. Nineteen. Ones who don't have to act as if he were a stranger. Jealous of my brother and sister who won't have as nice things as 'Ballet, karate and piano lessons', as my stepmom puts it, but who will be able to clamber over him years later without any awkwardness.

And we sigh and look away.

what am I supposed to say to that?

".. remember me to one who lives there.."

I stumbled across two gems today. :)

A Fact from the New Yorker: Listen to This
"I have seen the future, and it is called Shuffle..." :) Exactly.
"On the iPod, music is freed from all fatuous self-definitions and delusions of significance."
"...music is music."

Time Travel

Somehow I was inside something... like a dark tunnel in a ship with some young people I knew.. maybe children that I was looking after. We were running from something. Almost in danger. We ran outside and were some of the few people who made it to safety. We ended up in a roped off area filled with.. soilder-type people. It was darkoutside and the area was filled with floodlights. I could see similar sites in the near distance. We decided to play along.

A commander guy, who looked as if he was in his mid-twenties was overheard talking about finding people that belonged in their time and killing off the rest, or perhaps they were going to make them tell them secrets about the future? I knew that we were from a time beyond theirs and that we couldn't get caught. I and the children that I was with laid down on the grass and I tried to to listen to how he was checking for signs of people who belonged in the 'right' time. He was checking everyone's necks, checking to see if the angle that they slept in made a bone in their neck push out. I whispered to the kids that I was with to turn their necks to the side as far as they could and to pretend that they were asleep. I did the same. It was uncomfortable to tense your neck like that for any amount of time and I was very relieved that the kids seemed to be able to do it. Perhaps they felt the gravity of the situation. The guy pased us and seemed to fall for it. I was very relieved.

We waited for a long time. I then looked down and realized that I was holding a cereal box. I looked at the bottom of the box, it had a miniture video layer filled with moments of my life. A picture of a building changed and I saw myself at around 3 years old walking with my Mom and some other people through a crowded area. thinking of the past reminded me of a younger boy whom I used to know when I was really little. I met him again later but wasn't able to really talk to him, and for some strange reason I wanted to find a picture of me around him from when we were 3 or something to show him that I wasn't just some giggly girl that liked him... cause I don't, I just wanted to talk to him about old times. :P Well anyway, the cereal box was a future technology and I couldn't get caught with something like that so I willed it away. It might have shrunk and changed into something different.. I didn't really pay attention as I was looking around myself to make sure that no one saw me.

It was at that time that another memeber of our party exited from the tunnel and called for me. An older boy with geeky glasses and blond hair.(who reminded me of Percey W.) yelled for us and said something about figuring it out. I was only slightly panicked. The soilder guys in the area immediatly stopped him and asked him who he was. The Commander guy stopped by me, and we all stopped pretending to be asleep. He looked at me suspiciously and asked if I knew the boy that had just exited the tunnel. I thought fast and said that I had met him in the tunnel when we were stuck in it. He seemed to accept the story but still looked at me a little thoughtfully.

He then gave the order for everyone to enter the ship. it was a ship that they had found for time travel. The kids that I was with and I entered the ship without any problems. The boy from earlier was escorted in with an armed guard. The inside was well lighted, the walls were those large concrete bricks that you often see in schools, painted a white-yellow. The floor was carpeted with a brown carpet. It kinda reminded me of the church building I used to go to in Emerson. We were lead into some small room, filled with blanket but without any windows.

Just as we settled in, that commander guy entered the room looking for me. He told me to come along and I exited the room and started to follow him. he said I was to go somewhere else where I wouldn't make any mischief. As we walked, I spotted a drinking fountain on the right on one wall. A commotion (perhaps a soilder reporting?) behind us distracted the Commander guy and I made step at the drinking fountain and took my chances at taking a gulp of the water (I didn't know what time we were in and if the water pipes were even connected to where we were). I managed to get back at the guy's side and I don't think he even noticed what I did. He did look suspiciously at my innocent smile and than grabbed my upper arms and pulled me to our destination.

It was a room that strongly reminded me of the nursery in the church building. A long recangular room with a divider at the middle, that was open at this time. High windows, with tinted glass so you couldn't see out ran along the top on one wall. Waist-high cabinets were underneath them. There was a low rectangular table at the front with little chairs. The guy told me that they were taking off soon and then I was left in there alone. I wasn't really too worried. I think that I figured that I would have plenty of time to get myself and the kids I was with to the right time, as the Commander guy didn't seem too smart.

The ship moved and landed somewhere. I felt pretty confident that no one was going to check on my any time soon, so I went to the back left of the room and climbed up one of the cabinets. I then opened the window and looked outside. It was raining outside, and I saw some low buildings and people walking around the area with bright umbrellas. it looked like the late 20th centuary and I felt safe in this time.

I shut the window when I heard the door of the room start to unlock, and I sat down on the cabinet, pretending that I wasn't up to anything. A very large man entered the room. Wearing green army camo and filled with muscles only an action figure could pull off. He seemed as if he were a nice person, and I smiled at him. He seemed to be a little confused, and said that he had been sent to watch me. I smiled at him and I think we sat down at the low table and played a game of cards for awhile. I had a strong urg to go to the bathroom so I convinced him that it would be alright if we left the room as long as he accompained me and we arrived back before anyone misses us. I think that we got caught but we weren't in too much trouble, we just ran back to our room. This part of the dream ended after this..

I was then with my brother and some friends moving into a nice big white house, It had that old northern New England farmhouse look to it. I was inside, looking at my white metal-framed day bed. My brother and another guy were carrying it out to put it in the next door house. I took out a large sheet of graphing paper and started to outline rooms on it, similar to how you create homes in The S*ms. I drew in my daybed in the room on the upper left, and the at the upper right I drew a square dressing room for a man and in the center of the room, stairs to lead up to a second floor bedroom. I was thinking how Little orphan Annine could have the room on the left and Dady Warbuck could have the roomon the right and how his Secretary and butler could brief him on things and tie his tie in the dressing room.

I stopped my brother right before he exited the room with my bed, and I somehow literally took off the blankets and then I colored the sheets pink, as if it were a picture on my computer. it wasn't perfect and you could see spots of yellow underneath the pink, but I figured it would be okay to change into a Si*m bed for Annie.

We then exited the house and walked over to the next house next to it, on its left. As we walked I glanced at the house that was to be our new neighbor and was a little a little shocked at how interesting it looked. It was more forward that the other houses, and placed at a slant. It was some distance away and seemed to be a dark brown. The top of the house looked as if a giant tree with super thick branches had started to weave itself into the house shape. The ends of those branched stuck out, it reminded me of a haunted tree. I would not have been surprised if that tree were haunted. I remember looking around the ground of our new house, and as I faced the left wall of the house, I noticed a telephone pole in between it and me. it had what looked like a very large rusted mailbox nailed up higher than anyone would be able to use. Curious.

That's when I woke up... I think.

crazy crazy Dreams

I was traveling to some church camping trip with Nat's family in their van. I was nervous because i wouldn't be coming back with them. Strangely, I was going to be secretly married around this place and no one I knew, knew. o.O It was arranged. So after we arrived, and had some fun we went to a dance. I wore a white dress with a black bodice, I think. As the dance was winding down.. I went into the girl's bathroom. Some girls who knew what was going on passed me and waved. I got changed into a white wedding dress and stff like that. Maybe I had gloves? I exited the bathroom and said goodbye to the people I had arrived with. They were perplexed but left without me.

I then walked over to an extravegantly decorated church. There were lots of people in it, all whom I had never met before. They all spoke Spanish so I had no idea what was going on. I think that the guy was a leader of his own island or something.. he had a lot of power. As I reached the front of the church, a woman ran in screaming. I understood that she didn't want this guy to get married so he didn't. I don't know if I was more relieved or irritated. He apoligized without much sorrow and then told the people outside to do their celebrations anyway. I moved to one side on raised steps in a gathered crowd and I watched as the people waiting outside did a choreographed dance to loud music. There was a whole courtyard full of identical groups or about 7 people. Then spun around together and highlighted a different person every few turns. A woman all in white with a pretty flower hair accessory did a dance whihle the others whirled, then a similar dressed woman with a black accesory did a dance.. then a girl in pigtails dressed in a white frilly dress was swung as if she was on a swing. Then a guy dressed as a sailor did a Russian dance. It was rather odd, but cool.

Somehow I ended up being picked up by my dad and I was worried that I didn't bring any fun computer games for Emily. We drove a bit and then ended outside a tall builiding on a calm city street.

Then I was with a group in a sort of class... I was organizing the long fridge/freezer. It was the kind that supermarkets use- very long with clear doors and metal racks. I moved everything around in one section, reorganized it. I remember that I moved all the milk and juices to the bottom and placed the like ones together. I also stacked all the Spagetti microwave dinners together right above that.

Then I went back to the teacher and our little plants. She said something about how my plant grew spendidly but the next one wasn't. She said that she was unable to find the milk to feed it so she had to use something else. I then told her that I moved all the milk to the bottom shelf and that the reason why my plants so so healthy was probably because my Lacotse fixed milk was probably easier for it to digest.

She agreed and then had everyone chose a little something and then assign us partners. It turns out that she was going to change us into animals and then make us stay with another person-turned-animal to build up team experiences. I was a little alarmed but the girl I was with seemed to have a compatible animal so it seemed alright. I think the other people moved away to change or something because I don't rememebr them. I think that the girl and I changed into lizards, and we basked in the sun together and had some nice lizard conversations.

Next thing I knew.. we had changed back to human form and we were to pick a different animal with a different partner. I got 'sea lizard' and my partner, a largish guy, got 'elephant' I was understandably worried. I tried to tell her that those animals should not be placed together and that we wouldn't fit in any of the cages. She just told us to stop complaining and shooed us away. My partner and I were very annoyed. We went to our assigned changing stop- the fridge. We were many sections down from the fridge compartment that had alll the food and the are was slightly enlarged, but it didn't really look like an appropriate area for us. In one section, a plastic divider was holding some greenish water in. I shrugged to my companion, took the vial of animal-change formula and changed into.... a sea lizard. I looked something like a Komodo dragon, with the big long tail but I was a yucky green color and very moist. I went in the water and swam around. My partner went into another part of the fridge and just stood around. I remember thinking that the teacher was supposed to provide food for us so I looked around for it. I noticed an aligator.. larger than I was. Was that supposed to be my food? I considered trying to swallow it whole like a snake would, but I figured that I would never be able to get it down. A few minutes, hours(?) later we switched back. The guy said that class should be over by now, so we headed toward the next door locker rooms. We walked through the entrance and passed somepeople sitting in a hot whirlpool. My partner offered to watch me so I wouldn't drown if I decided to get in it. I said no thanks.

We then exited the area and entered another.. the pool area. It was neat! There was a large tower on both sides of the pool, connected by rope wire. A large crowd was gathered around. I joined the front of it. A girl, wearing a harness and assisted by a man, jumped off the top platform of the tower.. she spun, yelled, bounced up and forwards, yelled again, then did a death defying flip towards us, Everyone thought that she was going to land on her head and break it on the concrete by she landed safely in the water. Cheer and yells followed. At the top of the tower, the man who I now recognized as that mean guy from Americal Idol, said with a Lockheartish voice that "It's like diving, only with a choice your own adventure! Now who wants to go next?" Well that was neat. You could yell out what direction you wanted to bounce or flip in and what cool thing you wanted to do while using this rope diving thing. I considered doing it, then changed my mind.

I left the crowd and continued onard. Somehow I found myself with Jamie. We were at either a party or a strange prom or something. People were dressed up in costumes. The room was oval, wood and had something huge in the middle that you couldn't see over. It looked like a roller blade areana. I think some peole roller bladed but Jaimie and I walked around. I looked down and noticed that I was wearing a Snow White princess dress in pastel colors. We came toward a small crowd around a box. Inside were all sorts of hats. I was in a box with pastel wide brimmed hats. I searched around for a yellow one. Success! I found the only yellow on and put it on my head. Jamie was trying on other hats too. I'm not sure she picked up before my dream ended.

I so Happy!

Song of Goodness: Random Fruits Basket Song.. closing one...

I got the first 2 manga Volumes of Furuba yesterday!!! Yay! I so Happy! Of course, I've already read them by now! :}

The manga was fantastic! At first it was difficult because the drawings were slightly different and it was hard to read the bubbles in the right order but I quickly grew accustomed to them! :) Tohru-kun's talks make much more sense when you read them! In the anime, it was difficult to really understand them as easily. And some scenes were skipped! Ah, well I can't wait to buy Manga Volume #3! It wasn't at the bookstore, so I'll have to wait. Augh. :(

While I was at the bookstore, I also bought the Harry Potter book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Entertaining for a few minutes. :)

I so tired now. Goodnight!

I just watched the Ring so it's best that sleep during the night for awhile. :} I have an overactive imagination...
